Job Description

We’re looking for a talented and hard-working Content Uploader & Formatter to take work written by our writers, and upload and format it in WordPress so that it can be published.

Alongside this there will be wider help with the brands marketing and scheduling.

We have standard operating procedures for every element of the formatting process, but an understanding of the following are important:
– Adding images (re-sizing, formatting, alt text, file names) – ideally also able to create images that explain concepts visually/infographics (a bonus, not a requirement)
-Headings (H2s, H3s)
– Links – both internal and external links (SEO knowledge is helpful for this)
– Custom WordPress blocks – experience in WordPress to understand these is a bonus, not a requirement. For example, we have a custom block for targeting featured snippets, and we also create a lot of tables, lists, and we use Lasso to create affiliate displays.

You will take the content from a Google Doc that the writer has written, import it into that WordPress site, and then edit and add the required extras to make the article ready for publishing.

While experience with WordPress (and some basic SEO skills) is great, we’re also happy to coach and train you if you are dedicated and want to learn and become a great long-term team member.

An excellent applicant will have:
– The right mindset: a desire to learn, honesty, and willingness to ask questions if they don’t understand something (we’re happy to help if anything is unclear!).
– Experience with WordPress and an understanding of how the Elementor page editor works (headings, images, tables, etc), and ideally custom blocks.
– Basic SEO knowledge (H2/H3 heading structures, why/where to internal link, schema).
– Great attention to detail – someone who wants to create amazing experiences for our readers by formatting content in the best way possible.
– Understanding of marketing, images and graphics

Requirements:
Stable internet connection
Some knowledge of WordPress, ideally with experience with formatting and publishing blog content.
Basic Canva skills or previous use of a similar tool for editing and adding images based on our templates (if you have graphic design experience and can create beautiful and more complex images for our sites – or infographics – this is a big advantage!).
Understand how to use Trello, the tool we use for project management
Good English reading and writing skills to be able to follow our video SOPs that explain the formatting process.
Able to send a short report each day detailing the work they’ve done
Ability to be paid via Paypal or Wise
