New City Contracting is a leading construction company specializing in building envelope services. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects and maintaining strong client relationships. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Virtual Construction Quality Engineer/Project Coordinator to join our remote team in the Philippines.

We are seeking a highly experienced Virtual Construction Quality Engineer/Project Coordinator with a proven track record of at least 2 years in managing documentation, communication, and quality assurance processes for complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of industry standards (such as ISO 9001) and a strong ability to collaborate effectively with international teams in a remote setting. We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable working night shifts to seamlessly align with our North American business hours and can ensure efficient project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Location: Remote (Work-from-home)

Shift: Night Shift (11 PM – 8 AM PHL Time)

Responsibilities:

Project Documentation: Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on RFIs, submittals, construction notices, shop drawings, hardware schedules, and door/window schedules.

Meeting Management: Facilitate internal and external project meetings (online), prepare and distribute meeting minutes, track and follow up on action items.

Communication: Effectively distribute site instructions, change directives, change notices, and change orders. Collect and follow up on daily site reports, including attendance, progress, deficiencies/punch lists, and time/material reports.

Task Management: Utilize task management platforms (e.g., , Sage) to track project progress, deadlines, and deliverables.

Quality Assurance: Guide and ensure compliance with project requirements, including daily work progress reports, work photos, adherence to look-ahead schedules, work completion sign-offs, and resolution of deficiencies/punch lists.

Data Management: Upload and/or enter daily site reports into construction management platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Sitemax).
Quality Standards: Demonstrate familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Construction Health and Safety Standards.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in residential/commercial construction OR successful completion of one project.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams), task management platforms, and understanding of engineering drawings and project specifications.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable making calls to internal and external stakeholders.

Soft Skills: Proactive, able to work independently with minimal supervision, highly organized, and detail-oriented.

Equipment: Reliable desktop/laptop computer, high-speed internet (7Mbps or higher), and a noise-canceling headset.
