Job Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive virtual accountant/bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, planning and optimizing our tax strategies, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, and managing our payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with US tax laws, payroll processing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and maintain financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
– Record and categorize expenses, invoices, and other financial transactions.
– Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
– Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
– Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
– Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns in compliance with US tax laws.
– Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax documents.
– Advise on tax-related issues and potential tax savings.
– Stay updated with current tax laws and regulations.
– Provide support during audits and respond to tax authorities as necessary.
– Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees and contractors.
– Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
– Handle payroll tax reporting and payments.
– Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
Qualifications:
– CPA, Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field or equivalent certification is
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, and payroll processing.
– Proven experience with US tax laws and regulations.
– Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
What We Offer:
– Competitive Salary rate based on experience, twice a year bonus after the first year – PHP 20,000 to 30,000 for Part-time and Full-time 50,000 to 60,000
– Flexible working hours … however, must be available during Mon-Friday 8 am-5pm EST US, and as needed on weekends
