Virtual Estimator for Commercial and Residential Construction Projects

VANA Builders, Inc. is a construction company specializing in commercial and residential projects in the United States. We are currently looking for a Virtual Estimator to join our team on a part-time or per-project basis, with the potential for full-time employment for the right candidate after a probationary period.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct material take-off and estimate the cost of commercial and residential construction projects that we are going to bid.
-Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
-Work closely with the project team to ensure accuracy and completeness of the estimate.
-Provide detailed reports and analysis of the estimate.
-Communicate with clients and subcontractors to gather information necessary for the estimate.
-Collaborate with the project team during the bid process to ensure competitive pricing.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
-At least 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects, with emphasis on concrete work and steel.
-Knowledge of California and United States building codes.
-Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification, awarded by the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), as an optional and preferred qualification.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and remotely.
-Must be located in the Philippines and able to work in Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone if needed, for meetings, project discussions, or when the project bid deadlines are due in short time. The candidate will have the flexibility to work during their local time on their own time zone in general, but must be able to accommodate to work in PST zone when required.
-Experience in estimating software such as PlanSwift, BuilderTrend, and Square, which should be included in the candidate’s resume.
-Familiarity with RS Means data is a plus.
-Candidates with experience working for a US company in the past, especially with a California-based company, will have an advantage. This experience must be included in their resume.
-Passionate about the take-off work and willingness to learn new applications.
-Ability to work as a team player.
