Virtual Legal Assistant for solo US Based Attorney engaged in Trusts (drafting, updating, amending), Estates (following probate checklists, collecting information, filling out relevant forms for court), Asset Protection & Tax Structuring with Business Entities.
We are hoping for 1 or more exclusive long term team members to work with exclusively.
Computers, internet, and equipment must be able to handle VOIP (internet) calls, emails, document software (such as word, excel, Google sheets, Dropbox, other web based software) and you should hopefully be able to figure out minor tech issues (by contacting support, etc.) on your own.
Communication with busy attorney would be mainly by Skype and Zoom and through office manager.
All tasks can be taught through Training, Repetition and Practice coupled with research. However, you must BRING YOUR OWN Superior Organizational skills, self-motivation to figure out and complete tasks with minimal supervision, ability to organize and manage multiple clients and projects and administrative tasks so Attorney can focus on Networking with other professionals, Marketing, Meeting with Prospective clients, Analyzing client situations and opportunities, Selling services, and creating methods to add additional value to clients and recurring service offerings.
Hours to be available to take calls or texts or contact, businesses, clients or financial institutions would generally be 9am-5pm PST (US Time) M-F, but this may be flexible since much of the work does not have to be done during these hours exactly.

Key Responsibilities:
Writing and responding to client emails and texts with a high level of professionalism.
Handling calls in English, setting appointments, managing calendars, taking and responding to messages.
Daily ongoing communication with Attorney and/or office manager.
Managing multiple projects and clients on an ongoing basis, creating task lists, due dates and meeting relevant deadlines.
Working independently with minimal supervision, yet following guidance from attorney as provided.
Conducting research and implementing findings into actionable tasks.
Reviewing practice guides, summarizing information to create and implement effective checklists, then following them.
Drafting legal documents with forms, instruction and training, such as trusts, deeds, business documents and the ability to research items as necessary.
Ensuring accurate formatting, spelling and grammar in all documents.
Recording time and work done, keeping meticulous records.
Efficiently using technology and computers for various tasks, including ability to learn CRM to track client data, matters, documents, etc.
Meeting deadlines and organizing work to ensure timely task completion.
Analyzing emails accurately to create and organize tasks and responses needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, preferably in a legal setting.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for phone handling, email handling, document drafting or review for spelling/grammar, etc.
Ability to use or figure out simple technology and computer software efficiently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (A MUST).
Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to draft various legal documents (from forms and with instruction and training) and perform administrative tasks.
A self-motivated individual who can follow instructions, proactively verify and clarify information and take instruction without taking offense.
Compensation:
$800/mo during trial period, then increased depending on Results, Ability to work independently, Resourcefulness, English fluency, Tasks able to complete, Grammar/Punctuation, writing and analytical ability, Ability to handle multiple ongoing clients and projects from start to finish, Ease of Communication, Organization, and general ability to take administrative and repetitive tasks off of Attorney’s task list. If really do extraordinary work, then there is room for higher increases and bonuses.
