Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organized individual to serve as an online virtual secretary for our Synagogue. As an online virtual secretary, you will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our Synagogue.
Responsibilities:
Responding to emails, phone calls, and other inquiries from community members and guests
Coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for the Rabbi
Managing and updating the Chabad House’s website and social media pages
Preparing and sending out newsletters, emails, and other communications to members of the community
Keeping accurate records of donations, expenses, and other financial transactions
Assisting with fundraising efforts and donor outreach
Performing other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other relevant software
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Jewish traditions and customs is preferred but not required
This is a part-time position with flexible hours, and it can be performed remotely from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Working Hours:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. The exact working hours may vary depending on the needs of the Synagogue, but it is expected that the virtual secretary will be available for approximately 10-15 hours per week.
