I.T. Matters, Inc., established in 2012, specializes in providing Managed IT Services,
Backup, Disaster Recovery, Cloud Hosting, Telephony, and IT Security Services to
Small and Medium Businesses in the greater Houston, Texas area within the
Central Time Zone. As part of our ongoing expansion, we seek to augment our
team. The hourly rate for this position falls within the range of $6-$12,
commensurate with experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Active Directory: Reset passwords, troubleshoot replication, authentication,
and Group Policy issues.
• Application Support: Diagnose and resolve software issues, liaise with
vendors if needed, and provide advanced user support.
• Windows OS Errors: Verify OS errors, and determine formatting/reimaging
needs.
• Hardware Support: Troubleshoot PC hardware, and identify warranty-eligible
equipment.
• Onboarding & Offboarding: Create/terminate user accounts, and set up
workstations per procedures.
• Printer & Email Issues: Resolve complex problems, including network
connectivity, driver conflicts, server errors, and security configurations.
• Client Interaction: Engage directly to address technical needs.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate efficiently within the support team.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine ticket processes, and maintain
detailed documentation.
Required Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent
experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical support role
• Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to precise instructions
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in documentation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Willingness and capacity to acquire new skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
