We are seeking an experienced and dedicated VoIP Technician to join our team and help set up and configure customized business phone systems for our clients.
As a VoIP Technician, you will be responsible for configuring phone systems, IVR configurations, phone provisioning, setting up call queues, and more, according to customer requirements. Although we will provide training on our specific products and services, candidates should already possess a strong familiarity with VoIP technology and related systems.
Responsibilities:
– Configure and set up business phone systems based on customer requirements and specifications
– Handle IVR configuration, phone provisioning, and call queue setup
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to VoIP systems and devices
– Collaborate with the sales and support teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration of phone systems
– Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed
– Continuously stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the VoIP and telecommunication fields
Document and maintain records of installations, configurations, and customer interactions
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a VoIP Technician, Network Technician, or a similar role
– Strong understanding of VoIP technology, protocols, and related systems
– Familiarity with configuring and setting up business phone systems, including IVR, SIP Trunks, and call queues
– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical clients
– Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and products
– Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Avaya ACSS, are a plus
