Position Overview:
VRBO is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Content Moderator to join our team. As a Content Moderator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of content on our platform. You will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, including property listings, reviews, and other multimedia materials, to uphold our community standards and policies.
Responsibilities:
– Review and moderate user-generated content, including property listings, reviews, and images, to ensure compliance with VRBO’s content guidelines and policies.
– Identify and escalate inappropriate or fraudulent content, such as spam, scams, and prohibited listings, according to established protocols.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trust & Safety, Customer Service, and Legal, to address content-related issues and maintain a positive user experience.
– Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to content moderation and online marketplace platforms.
– Provide timely and constructive feedback to improve content quality and adherence to guidelines.
– Assist in the development and refinement of moderation policies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in content moderation, preferably within the travel or e-commerce industry.
-Familiarity with VRBO’s platform and policies, or experience working with similar online marketplaces.
-Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large volumes of data.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
-Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
-Flexibility to adapt to evolving policies, procedures, and technology tools used in content moderation.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with content moderation tools and systems, such as Zendesk, Salesforce, or proprietary platforms.
-Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to online content, privacy, and data protection.
-Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing user-generated content.
