We are looking for a Graphic Designer for one of the biggest Homeware Companies in the US
The Graphic Designer position is responsible for designing and managing the client’s licensed and in-house legacy brands from layout to preparing files for final print. The candidate must have packaging design experience, a well-versed knowledge of structures, and a wealth of design layout. The candidate must also have the ability to create and maintain existing brands with style guides and the capability to fit various packaging structures. The client is also looking for a candidate who can design logos, conceptualize, render, create digital displays, build POGs, and handle other related retail, marketing, and sales materials.
Rate: 8/hr
Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
• Prepare production-ready packaging files for print
• Design & conceptualize innovative packaging for licensed and in-house legacy brands under the direction of the Director
• Design logos, branding, retail & trade show displays, websites, and other related marketing and sales materials
• Coordinate with the art director, creative, marketing, and product teams for the completion of creative requests
• Post final mechanical art to overseas and domestic vendors
• Manage projects from start to finish
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ of experience
• Degree in Design or similar OR at least 5 years of field-related experience will also be considered
• Expert in Adobe CC, Microsoft Office and Oracle Cloud
• Organized, Assertive, and Timeline driven
• Excellent mechanical and production skills
• Great relationship with vendors on top of being a team member
• Knowledge of printing and packaging materials
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and with little to no direction
• Hands-on skills with the ability to work with cutting tools to create mock-up samples is a plus!
• Digital illustration skills and reading/writing in Spanish is a big plus!
