We are looking for a video editor superstar! (FCPX ONLY)

We are Chiara and Aaron and we run a video editing agency.
We are looking for a video editor to edit various kinds of videos. The person we’re looking for will mainly be working on fitness content (follow-along workouts).
Sometimes we also might ask you to edit real estate, travel and talking head content.

Job requirements:

– Need to have an excellent working knowledge of Final Cut Pro. We have all our plugins and templates in FCPX, so working from another software is not possible. PLEASE DON’T APPLY IF YOU CAN’T USE FINAL CUT PRO.
– A solid and fast internet connection, some of the videos you will need to download and upload might be quite big (usually between 1 GB and 20 GB).
– A good computer, ideally a MacBook M1 or above.
– You need to know FCPX like the back of your hand. The edits are not very complicated, but you will need to be able to look at our template and copy it. We will give you all the necessary plugins.
– A basic knowledge of fitness would be a bonus, as sometimes our clients make mistakes with the titles, so being able to distinguish a squat from a deadlift would be helpful.
– Ability to follow the client’s instructions to create a repeatable fitness video edit from scratch.
– Knowledge of the Adobe Suite (especially Photoshop and After Effects), although not necessary would help your application.
– Ability to work autonomously to archive job outcomes on a timely basis. We won’t give you fixed hours, but you will need to be able to send the videos when they are due.
– Responsible, honest, responsive and trustworthy. You will be asked to sign a contract and a non-compete agreement.
– Excellent verbal and written English skills are essential.
