Job Brief:
Our fashion brand is seeking talented and innovative Clothing Designer with a strong grasp of fashion trends to join our team. This position is for a full-time remote capacity, In this role, you will focus on designing exceptional long and modest dresses for women, ensuring that each creation aligns with modesty standards while remaining fashionable and on-trend. Your primary goal is to captivate our customers with original and stylish garments.

Our specialty is in designing clothing that’s not only modest but also provides the necessary features of discreet nursing access, making it easy for moms who are nursing to feed their babies in public without compromising their modesty.

We take pride in our attention to detail, using high-quality fabrics and ensuring that every aspect of our dresses is designed with the utmost care. Our goal is to provide moms with clothing that not only meets their modesty requirements but also reflects their unique sense of style.

Responsibilities
-Design and develop original clothing designs, focusing on long and modest dresses for women
-Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of designs
-Develop, test, and modify patterns as needed
-Select fabrics and materials that align with modesty standards, comfort, and durability
-Collaborate with the production team to guarantee garment quality and fit
-Monitor current fashion trends and adapt designs accordingly
-Manage the design process from conception to final styling
-Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, and design inspiration
-Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, edit lines, and create new concepts
-Choose fabrics and trims, ensuring products align with business strategy
-Can produce a Master Pattern for each size within a range of garment sizes. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using charts, drafting instruments, computers, and grading devices.
-Can create a Paper Pattern from which to mass-produce a design concept

Requirements and Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field
-2-3 years of experience as a Clothing Designer
-Excellent garment construction knowledge, preferably having experience as a sample Maker/Pattern Maker in Garments Manufacturing
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other design software
-Comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, including trends, materials, production techniques, and market dynamics
-Knowledge of garment construction ands production processes
-Experience working with a variety of materials, including knit, woven, and printed fabrics
-Strong design and pattern-making skills with an eye for color, texture, and detail
-Willingness to travel for research and product development purposes
-Ability to meet multiple deadlines and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
-Detail-oriented with the capacity to perform other duties as assigned
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Candidates who have experience designing and making patterns for women’s clothing will be given priority consideration.

This is a full-time position, the salary is negotiable and subject to performance-based increases. We love giving out discretionary performance BONUSES!
