Skills Needed:

– AI-free content
– Impeccable writing and editing skills
– Strong research skills
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
– Flexibility to adapt writing style to different audiences and topics
– Knowledge of SEO best practices
– Experience in giving and receiving feedback
– Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Shopify, and AirTable
– Experience with HARO (Help a Reporter Out) queries is a plus

Scope of Work:

– Write and edit articles, blog posts, and other content for our website and other platforms
– Research and pitch ideas for content that aligns with our brand and audience
– Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies
– Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure content is relevant and engaging
– Assist in managing content calendars and publishing schedules
– Monitor and analyze the performance of content to make data-driven decisions for improvement
– Closely work with the Outreach Manager in helping with rough drafts to send to reporters
– Coming up with ideas or content to pitch to HARO reporters

Goal:
The goal is to produce high-quality, engaging content that not only educates but also inspires our target audience. The writer/editor should aim to establish our brand as a thought leader in the current information-driven industry and drive engagement and loyalty among readers. Additionally, the writer/editor should be proactive and initiative in helping the outreach manager with daily tasks such as drafting content, proofreading replies to reporters, etc., to increase our website’s visibility and media coverage.
