Job Description

We’re seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) freelance contractor to work with one of our clients. In this role, you’ll manage the importation and analysis of sales data from different angles: products, retailers, and channels. Your main tasks will involve developing and refining processes to ensure accurate marketing and sales data reporting, along with extracting valuable insights from the data to aid in decision-making and strategic planning across the company.

You’ll utilize various analytical tools to delve into analytics data, uncover trends, and offer insights that drive efficiencies and strategic value for the business. You’ll report to both the Senior Director of Consumer Sales for as well as the CMO.

About the work
Conduct comprehensive analyses of D2C customer data, including purchase history, website behavior, demographics, and survey responses to uncover meaningful persona insights.
Identify emerging customer trends, preferences, and pain points to inform creative strategy, marketing campaigns, and the overarching D2C strategy.
Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable strategy plans and presentations for stakeholders across the organization, facilitating informed decision-making.
Develop key survey questions and considerations across each unique brand to drive key findings and persona building across product, demographics, psychographic, pricing sensitivity, and customer buying behaviors.
Set up and execute client surveys using platforms like Survey Monkey, Typeform, etc.
Perform market research across our diverse portfolio of clients and industries to raise awareness to our internal and external partners of category trends and customer patterns.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in customer analytics and D2C customer insights to keep our client at the forefront of innovation.

Boxes to check
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field, MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer insights and actively building sophisticated customer data models.
Experience in market research, with a preference for a background within the DTC and digitally native brands.
Strong analytical skills required and proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings effectively to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
An analytical and intellectually curious mind and excellent critical thinking skills

About the role
Full-time position at $14/hr, working 40 hours per week
