We are a small New York City based IT Consulting and IT Professional services company with about 70 consultants that provides IT Professional services to mostly New York City government clients.
Our current website (Click to view ) was created years ago and we have not had the time to update it. Just recently we hired a website designer who helped us get a new look. The current beta version can be found here Click to view.
We are looking for assistance from a copy writer, content writer, and a marketing person that will help us with putting together compelling content that will present the company as a professional organization and the at the same time make us look good in front of current and prospective customers.
Job Responsibilities

1. Meet with our team to understand our company, the services we provide, and our goals from the new site
2. Understand our client base and the kinds of clients we would like to attract
3. Draft a story or narrative that will tell our story
4. Review our beta site Click to view and provide better content (current content is copied from our existing site Click to view
5. Go through each section of the site and provide suggestions for content
6. Write compelling content for each site in word or any other format that will be provided to the website designer to implement
7. Feel free to make suggestions on additional sections in the site where our story can be told better
Requirements
1. At lest 3 years of experience writing contents for websites for companies of our size or bigger
2. The ability to tell story through writing and reach the intended audience in a concise and effective fashion
3. At least 3 years of writing in a marketing and advertising environment. Academic, journalistic, new, blogs, and other writing is welcome as long as the job responsibilities can be accomplished, and the candidate enjoys this kind of writing
4. Work samples will be requested from any candidate that clear the initial screening
5. Both written and verbal command of the English language is required (Advanced/Fluent)
