Web designer

New North is seeking a talented and experienced web designer with a strong background in Figma and Adobe design tools to create stunning, modern websites for our B2B technology clients.

Responsibilities

As a web designer at New North, your primary responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with the creative team to develop visually compelling website designs in Figma.
Translating client requirements into functional, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing web designs.
Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
Incorporating user experience (UX) best practices into website designs.
Utilizing Adobe design tools, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, to create and edit visual assets.
Collaborating with developers to ensure proper implementation of design elements.
Working within our project management environment (ClickUp) to obtain task requirements and manage your workload.
Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform design decisions.
Participating in design critiques and implementing improvements based on feedback.
Ensuring consistent brand identity across all client projects.
Contributing to internal design projects, such as marketing materials and presentations.
Creating and maintaining design documentation, including style guides and pattern libraries.
Meeting project deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Continuously refining and improving design skills through self-directed learning and professional development.
Requirements

To be considered for the web designer role at New North, candidates must meet the following requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in web design, preferably for B2B technology companies.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe design tools, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.
Exceptional visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color, and layout.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment and managing your workload across remote project management tools like ClickUp and Slack.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong portfolio showcasing your web design work.
