Web Designer

We are looking for an experienced Web Designer for an Australian Company.

Availability: The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Hours: Preferably 8 AM to 12 NN
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
? Creating website designs
? Conceptualizing creative ideas with the Managing Director & Marketing Team
? Updating, testing, and improving the design of our existing site and optimizing for maximum speed and scalability.
? Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
? Design engaging and responsive landing pages.
? Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards
? Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with our branding guidelines
? Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
? Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/ programming languages (i.e. HTML and Javascript)
? Creating sites that are user-friendly, effective, and appealing.
? Ensuring website functions and stability across devices (i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet)
? Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
? Performing other duties when needed

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• You must work within a set/ agreed work hours (8 AM to 12NN, 4hrs/ day, 20hrs/ week) and be actively productive. You must only work for our company during the hours that you are working. This is not a “work when you feel like it” job. You have to show up and be working throughout the day.

• You must use our time tracking software and have daily Zoom meetings with your Team Leader to follow up on the progress of your tasks.

• High-speed, reliable internet is essential for this role (minimum 20 Mbps).

• Having a fast computer with a good processor and memory, having a second monitor is preferable.

• A quiet place to work from without distractions or disruptive background noises, so that calls via Zoom can be conducted with ease.

• Willing to offer input/contribute thoughts and ideas and open to feedback.
