Web Designer and Developer

Job Title & Summary
We are looking for a Web Designer and Developer who is motivated to create modern and functional web designs for a variety of clients in a variety of industries. We are looking to grow our capabilities in web design and take it to the next level to offer a higher level of service to our clients. Responsibilities will include designing and developing websites using top content management systems such as WordPress.

Key Responsibilities
– Create visually appealing and on-brand designs for web pages.
– Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
– Bring the designs to life using top content management systems such as WordPress.
– Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed to build webpages.
– Update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
– Implement content management systems (CMS) and customize them as needed.
– Set up and configure e-commerce plugins, membership plugins, and other plugins.
– Thoroughly test webpages and fix them to make sure they work on desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
– Thoroughly test websites and identify and fix bugs, issues, or performance issues.
– Ensure websites are secure and follow security best practices.
– Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
– Take a project with limited requirements, gather the necessary information, and turn it into a finished product.
– Assist in developing requirements for a web development project.
– Manage multiple projects at once, and deliver projects on schedule.

Skills & Qualifications
– Proven experience as a Web Developer or Web Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects.
– Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
– Experience with WordPress and other content management systems.
– Experience with WordPress page builders such as Divi, Elementor, and Beaver Builder.
– Good knowledge of image authoring tools, such as PhotoShop, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
– Basic understanding of PHP
– A basic understanding of MySQL is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to work on United States Central Time.

The ability to get things done, work independently without supervision as well as in a virtual team environment, and learn quickly are more important than any specific technology.
