We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Designer/Tester to join our team.
As a Web Designer, this involves creating and translating designs from Figma into functional and aesthetically pleasing sites. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure each project aligns with the overarching business objectives.
As a Web Tester, you will be responsible for verifying the functionality and usability of the various web applications and sites we develop. You will work closely with other members of the team to identify and report issues and ensure that applications and sites we build are reliable, user-friendly, and fully functional.
Key Responsibilities for Testing:
• Testing website functionality and usability across different browsers and devices
• Identifying and reporting defects and issues on the website and online systems
• Working with the development and design teams to resolve identified issues
• Writing and maintaining test cases and test plans
• Participating in regular meetings with the development and design teams to discuss testing progress and priorities
Key Responsibilities for Design:
• Design and develop interfaces for the various applicaitons we develop
• Collaborate with our team to develop Figma designs and any visual animations associated with the design.
• Ensure the landing page is responsive across various devices and browsers.
• Optimize the page for speed and performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug any issues that may arise during the development process.
• Provide suggestions to optimize designs and share alternative solutions for anything too complex.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of Figma and the ability to execute designs based on existing app interfaces.
• Proven experience as a web designer with a portfolio showcasing responsive landing pages.
• Proficient in translating Figma designs into HTML/CSS.
• 1+ years of experience in web design
• 1+ years of experience in web testing
• Knowledge of mobile testing best practices and tools such as browser stack
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report defects
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
• An ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Experience with automated testing
• Preferable to have experience with managing tasks
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the willingness to engage in multiple projects.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Training for the position will be provided and there will be opportunities to develop skills and gain lots of varied experience.
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, mainly UK hours
Salary: Dependant on experience
