Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Developer with expertise in custom coding and a deep understanding of the Shopify platform. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining our e-commerce websites to ensure a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Custom Coding: Utilize your advanced coding skills to create and implement custom solutions within the Shopify environment, ensuring unique and tailored functionalities for our online stores.
2. Shopify Development: Be the go-to expert for all things Shopify. Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices within the platform to enhance our online presence and performance.
3. Theme Development: Design and develop Shopify themes from scratch or customize existing themes to align with our brand aesthetics and user experience goals.
4. Optimization: Conduct regular performance analysis and optimization of our websites to improve speed, user experience, and overall functionality.
5. Integration: Integrate third-party applications and APIs seamlessly into our Shopify stores to enhance overall functionality and meet business requirements.
6. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to website functionality, ensuring a smooth and error-free online shopping experience for our customers.
7. Analytics Integration: Implement and maintain analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, to gather and analyze data related to website performance, user behavior, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
8. Monthly Reporting: Generate comprehensive monthly reports by pulling data from Shopify analytics and other relevant sources. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
9. Data-driven Optimization: Collaborate with the marketing and business teams to identify opportunities for website improvement based on analytics data. Implement data-driven optimizations to enhance user experience and achieve business goals.
10. A/B Testing: Plan and execute A/B testing strategies to assess the effectiveness of various website elements and features. Use test results to iterate and improve website performance continuously.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development, with a focus on Shopify.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
• Extensive experience in custom coding within the Shopify Liquid framework.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and trends.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality, custom Shopify solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Shopify analytics tools and reporting functionalities.
• Experience in interpreting and presenting data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and their impact on website analytics.
