While this job is initially for 3 months, there is an opportunity to grow into a permanent position.
Routie supports businesses to offer guest wifi to their customers. We sell a SAAS that builds each business’ customer database as new visitors use the wifi. The company’s mission is to connect the world. The team members behind Routie are not limited by their job titles or their status in the company. Rather we are all driven by the mission to change the world in a positive way.
Our team works from multiple time zones, which maximizes our productivity. You get to maintain your own hours, meaning this is not a nine-to-five (9-5) type of company. You must take ownership of your tasks, execution, and deliverables. Though there is a hierarchy in approvals and leadership, we all stand on level ground and are building together.

Position Summary:
As a Web Developer at Routie, you will be working on projects that involve designing, implementing, and maintaining our websites. You will collaborate with teams to develop solutions that enhance user experience and support the goals of the company.

Responsibilities:
Front-End Development:
Develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
Implement and maintain user interactions, animations, and other dynamic features on web pages.

Back-End Development:
Work with server-side technologies to implement and maintain robust, scalable web applications.
Collaborate with the development team to integrate front-end and back-end systems.

Collaboration:
Work closely with our designers and other developers to bring creative concepts to life.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.

Testing and Debugging:
Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability and functionality of web applications.

Documentation:
Create and maintain technical documentation for code, processes, and procedures.
Provide support and documentation for fellow developers and team members.

Adaptability:
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Adapt to new tools and methodologies to enhance development efficiency.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in WordPress / WooCommerce, Shopify, PHP, and Click to view.
Experience with ReactJS is preferred but not required.
Experience with front-end and back-end APIs.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
