Role Overview:

As a Website Developer at Social Seed, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining websites for our clients and for our agency. This includes writing efficient code, integrating data from various back-end services and databases, and working closely with graphic designers and digital strategists. You will also be expected to create and maintain software documentation and understand the basic principles of Search Engine Optimization.

Responsibilities:

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Create website layouts/user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Manage and create websites for all client landing pages, sales pages, or full websites.
Maintain the agency website and sales funnels.
Communicate with graphic designers and digital strategists to ensure projects are completed within appropriate time frames.
Make revisions until approved assets are launched for the respective advertising campaigns.
Provide daily updates based on revisions and upcoming campaign design assets.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Web Developer or relevant role.
Understanding of programming and formatting languages like PHP, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, and CSS3.
Knowledge of e-commerce, cross-browser compatibility, security principles, object-oriented design, web services, and multimedia content development.
Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, WordPress, Shopify, Godaddy, Wix, and Siteground.

Preferences:

Proven (1-2 years) work experience as a Website Developer
Proficiency in creating basic weekly marketing KPI reports.
Experience working with clients in various industries.
Strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with planning and research softwares.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Punctual, professional, and direct communicator.

Part-time hours: Starting 5 – 25 Hours per Week

Compensation: Starting position is $4 USD per hour. Growth is encouraged.

Work Requirements:

MUST HAVE a back up work office or place of working in the instance of any natural disasters, acts of god, or other weather related technical issues.
MUST HAVE a back up electricity provider and/or home generator and/or 2nd workspace electric portable generator.
MUST HAVE working knowledge of work equipment repair, and/or access to a facility that provides technical assistance/repair, and/or a back-up laptop/PC.
If hired for a client-facing position: MUST HAVE a wired headset with noise cancellation microphone; also a 480p minimum WebCam for Video Calls. (Please note: for video conferencing, stable internet connection of 25 mbps is recommended).
