Role Overview:
As a Web Developer and SEO Specialist at Water Mouse Digital, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising websites to ensure they meet both aesthetic and performance standards. Your role will involve creating visually appealing, user-friendly websites while implementing best practices in SEO to enhance Organic Search visibility and drive traffic. You will work closely with our design, content, and marketing teams to deliver top-notch digital experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
Implement on-page and technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for content optimisation.
Collaborate with the design team to ensure websites are visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
Optimise website performance, including page speed, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.
Monitor and analyse website analytics to identify areas for improvement and track SEO performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web development and SEO trends, tools, and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Provide regular reports on website performance, SEO metrics, and key insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Marketing, or a related field is important but not vital, we are more interested in your portfolio!
Proven experience in web development and SEO, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
Experience with cPanel, WHM and Apache preferable
Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.
Solid understanding of SEO principles, tools, and best practices.
Experience with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a plus.
