Web Developer and Shopify Specialist

We are a small and growing digital marketing agency offering strategy, web development, SEO services, social media, and email marketing to small and medium businesses in the US and Canada.

We are searching for a highly skilled web developer specializing in Shopify and other website-building platforms to work on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing websites using Shopify and other website-building platforms and experience improving website visibility in search engines. The candidate will work independently but receive clear instructions on what is needed.

Responsibilities include:
– Designing and developing custom Shopify themes and templates
– Customizing Shopify plugins and apps to meet specific client needs
– Integrating Shopify stores with third-party services and platforms
– Developing and maintaining responsive web pages using other website-building platforms
– Collaborating with other web developers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions
– Providing ongoing maintenance and support for client stores
– Staying up-to-date with the latest Shopify, website building platforms, and SEO best practices
– Optimizing websites for search engines using technical SEO techniques

Requirements:
– Proven experience designing and developing websites using Shopify and other website-building platforms
– Strong experience in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
– Familiarity with Shopify’s API and webhooks
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
– Experience working remotely and collaborating with remote teams
– Strong knowledge of technical SEO

This is a freelance role; candidates should be available to work on an as-needed basis and be able to provide their equipment.
Initially, the position is hourly with 5-10 hours per week, with the potential to increase and convert to a full-time salary.
