Role: Web Developer for E-commerce and Blog Sites

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer with a focus on building and managing WordPress / Woo commerce and Shopify sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in e-commerce and blog platforms, implementing marketing funnels, building custom plugins, adhering to the latest security practices, and creating visually appealing and engaging designs. Proficiency in Figma and Crocoblock is a plus. The candidate should be capable of working autonomously, independently, and as part of a team, with a commitment to daily documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Website Development and Management:
– Build, customize, and manage WordPress and Shopify websites.
– Develop and implement e-commerce and blog features tailored to client needs.
– Ensure websites are responsive, fast, and optimized for SEO.

2. Custom Plugin Development:
– Design and develop custom plugins for WordPress and Shopify.
– Ensure plugins meet client requirements and are compatible with existing site functionalities.
– Regularly update and maintain plugins to ensure security and functionality.

3. Marketing Funnels Implementation:
– Design and implement effective marketing funnels to drive conversions.
– Integrate funnels with existing CRM and email marketing tools.
– Monitor and optimize funnel performance regularly.

4. Security Practices:
– Implement and maintain the latest security practices for WordPress and Shopify sites.
– Conduct regular security audits and updates.
– Ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).

5. Design and User Experience:
– Create visually appealing and engaging designs using Figma.
– Utilize Crocoblock for building advanced WordPress features and functionalities.
– Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across all devices.

6. User Engagement and Communication:
– Implement Constant Contact for email marketing and SMS features.
– Develop and manage subscriber lists, ensuring effective communication strategies.
– Monitor and analyze engagement metrics, making data-driven improvements.

7. Team Collaboration:
– Work autonomously and independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
– Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning.
– Share knowledge and provide support to junior developers as needed.

8. Daily Documentation:
– Maintain thorough and accurate daily documentation of work performed.
– Document code changes, plugin development, security updates, and project progress.
– Ensure documentation is clear, organized, and accessible to the team.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience in developing and managing WordPress and Shopify sites.
– Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid.
– Experience with custom plugin development for WordPress and Shopify.
– Proficiency in Figma for design and Crocoblock for advanced WordPress features.
– Understanding of the latest web security practices and data protection regulations.
– Experience with marketing funnel implementation and optimization.
– Familiarity with Constant Contact or similar email marketing and SMS tools.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
– Commitment to maintaining detailed daily documentation of work performed.

Preferred:
– Experience in e-commerce and blog site development.
– Knowledge of SEO best practices.
– Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
