Ever wanted to create a website that provides both educational content AND will be seen by millions of people? Well now’s your chance!
I run the YouTube channel ExtinctZoo (/@ExtinctZoo) and we’re looking to create a website to go along with it.
The main idea of the website is that it’ll be 1) a place for viewers to read articles and educational information that we’ll be posting separate to the YT channel, as well as display merch that we’re thinking of creating and 2) a place where people who don’t know of us, but are interested in extinct animals / paleontology could find when googling questions about dinosaurs/paleontology/etc.
With that said, my main priorities are as follows:
1. Design, design and design: I want this to look amazing. I have an idea of how I want it formatted, layout and specific features, but I want your help with the more artistic parts, i.e colors, text, images, etc.
2. Responsiveness: the website needs to be optimized and responsive, nothing is worse than a website that loads poorly and slowly
3. Is easily updatable: we plan on creating a new article every week and so it’s important that it’s easy to do so
4. Experience with complex designs: one thing I’m thinking of creating is an animated timeline that lists all the articles we have on animals based upon the time period they existed. Also note, to show that you’ve actually read my requirements start the subject of the application with dinosaurs like websites too, followed by whatever else you want
5. SEO: easy for new people to find the site
