Web Developer [WFH/REMOTE]

Location: Remote (Main Office in Singapore)
Working Arrangement: Contractor
Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM SGT/PHT

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Design, develop, and maintain websites for the environmental solutions sector, aiming to enhance and optimize the sites to increase traffic and improve search engine rankings.
• Drive web-related tasks, including developing and maintaining company websites incorporating UI/UX best practices for optimal user experience.
• Ensure website functionality and stability across various devices.
• To implement and maintain best practices in web development, UI/UX design, and SEO optimization.
• To create and update deliverables on time, effectively managed competing priorities, and worked through ambiguity.
• Maintain the websites to ensure high performance and availability.
• Handle ad hoc IT tasks, including back-end server management and technical support.
• Report to a manager supervising day-to-day work and responsibilities, ensuring effective collaboration and team interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in web development.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress development.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress plugins and builders, such as Elementor, is a significant plus.
• Demonstrated interest and commitment to improving website search engine rankings through technical and off-site SEO strategies.
• Familiarity with SEO tools, including Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Knowledge and skills in web builders such as Framer, Webflow, etc.
• Proficiency in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Gemini to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining effective communication with the team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for internal coordination and interaction with stakeholders.
• Candidates should be self-motivated and able to manage their schedule and deliverables.
• Proactive and adaptable approach, keen interest in the environmental solutions sector.
