Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
• Regularly update the company’s websites, ensuring all item listings are accurate and up-to-date. Remove any discontinued items, refine item specs and images, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Write concise, compelling descriptions for website content that align with our house style guide – engage our audience while driving sales.
• Participate in planning the company’s content calendar by researching industry trends and writing insightful blog posts and articles that will appeal to our core audience. This will include partnering with marketing to create impactful social media content, sharing ideas on trending topics and gathering the necessary information for engaging organic posts.
• Monitor and improve product descriptions, promptly identify outdated items, and optimise website content. This may include keyword research, using proper SEO principles to increase the visibility and reach of our product pages
• Help create brochures, catalogues, leaflets, and other marketing collateral within strict deadlines where required
• Proofread, review and advise on alterations to content produced by the content and marketing teams (internal and external), providing valuable feedback for improvement.
• Work with designers to create visually appealing website banners, graphics, and social media images.
• Develop training and educational materials as needed, both in written and other formats.
Skills & Experience
• Self-directed, able to work confidently and effectively alone or in teams.
• Detail-oriented, analytical approach to challenges and problem-solving.
• Adaptable to tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Confident in leading projects and meetings, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Minimum two years in a copywriting role, or demonstrable examples of previous experience in written content for online audiences
• Strong grasp of English grammar and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to write engaging, clear content on technical subjects for audiences with varying expertise.
• Proficiency with WordPress (including the ability to troubleshoot WordPress issues should they arise), along with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Brevo or other newsletter platforms
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and keyword research, especially in a WordPress environment
• Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Canva is a plus
• Experience in creating and delivering content for social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok desireable
