This role requires a deep understanding of web design principles and the ability to translate client brand information into immersive and engaging interactive experiences. As a Web Designer at Next Level Sites you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging websites. First developing the aesthetic and designing the websites in Figma, ensuring that they are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and aligned with the brand’s goals. Secondly building out the web designs into a functional website using Framer, training to be provided.
The core responsibilities and tasks include:
– Wireframe: In some cases you will be required to develop a wireframe from a site map, to outline the structure of the web pages and test different interfaces and usability scenarios.
– Visual Design: Craft the look and feel of websites, choosing appropriate colors, font styles, and layout that fit the brand’s identity and are visually engaging to the user.
– Photo and image manipulation: be able to change the dimensions, resolution, size colours, tones and feel of photos and images (Photoshop).
– User Experience Design: Focus on how users interact with website elements, aiming to make the user’s interaction as simple and efficient as possible. This involves creating a logical flow from one page to another to ensure users can find information easily.
– Interface Design: Designing effective web interfaces involves creating intuitive and accessible navigation and page layout. Work to ensure that the interface facilitates an enjoyable and effective user experience.
– Responsive Design: They ensure that websites function well on a variety of devices and window or screen sizes, from desktops to mobile phones. This involves designing flexible web pages that can adapt to different screen resolutions.
– Graphics Creation: Be able develop all visual elements of a website, such as images, icons, and animations, ensuring they are consistent with the brand and enhance the overall website aesthetic.
– Optimization: Optimizing web pages for speed and efficiency is crucial. Web designers work to ensure that websites load quickly and are optimized for SEO. They also focus on making the website accessible to as many people as possible.
– Remote Collaboration: work with the project managers and developers to build functional websites. It may also include collaboration with content creators and marketing experts to integrate all elements of the brand’s online presence.
Skills and Qualifications
– Proven work experience as a Web Designer, with a strong portfolio of design projects.
– Proficiency in graphic design software including Figma (including the use of auto layout), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
– A strong desire to become proficient in using Framer.
– Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
– Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
– Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
– Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies.
– Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements

– Available for weekly meetings/catch ups.
– Available daily (Mon-Fri) for any updates that require immediate response.
– Able to dedicate at least 20 hours/week. (40hrs a wk is the maximum)
– In-home office setup including Mac or PC Computer (including webcam) with minimum 1.0ghz dual-core processor, 8gb, and with experience in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets.
– A fast and reliable internet connection
– Smartphone with email capabilities
– Designated professional, quiet space
Nice to have.
– Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Compensation
– Achievable hourly rate $15-20 USD
