Website Designer – Job Description
Role:
The website designer will be responsible for creating the visual design and user experience of our digital properties. This role requires a combination of graphic design skills and a strong understanding of user-centric design principles.
Design visually appealing web pages with an emphasis on user experience.
Transform wireframes into responsive web designs.
Ensure designs are optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the web development team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align web designs with branding and marketing goals.
Gather feedback from users and stakeholders and iterate on design.
Maintain & Update:
Regularly update website designs based on changing needs, user feedback, and performance data.
Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, applying them as relevant.
Prototyping & Testing:
Create prototypes to test design concepts and get stakeholder buy-in.
Use A/B testing to determine the effectiveness of designs.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a website designer.
Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript is a plus.
Strong understanding of content management systems.
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemap.
A strong portfolio of illustrative designs and websites.
Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Up-to-date with the latest web design trends, techniques, and technologies.
Degree in design, visual arts, or relevant field is a plus.
