Website Designer Creator (Senior)

You understand your client intimately and your design inspiration brings to life the client’s culture and values and brand through the website development process. You collaborate with the development team to see your creation come to life. You only QC and approve work of which you are immensely proud of. This is your baby. When you design, you think about UX and conversion as your primary calling, the aesthetics are a very close secondary calling.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Website Designer Creator, you will play a leading crucial role in creating and designing our websites. You will work closely with our cross-functional team, including designers, content creators and developers, to deliver exceptional visual outcomes. Speed – you understand the importance of deadlines. Attention to detail – you get things done right the first time. Changes are frustrating… Accountability – you take responsibility for your actions and constantly improve… Commuinications – you speak up and out and express yourself for what is best for the client and our business…

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate to understand client goals.
Create responsive, mobile-first website designs, page layouts and user interfaces.
Develop website mock-ups, wireframes, prototypes and visuals using Figma.
Design and update visual style guides to maintain brand consistency across web properties.
Ensure high quality graphics, images, icons and other visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite
Work closely with web developers to implement designs with proper functionality and user experience.
Ensure the developers are supported after you hand over the design files.
Stay updated on web design trends, techniques, accessibility standards and best practices.
Work with our task management system (Breeze) and communicating effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in web/graphic design or related field
5+ years of professional experience designing responsive websites and web apps.
Strong portfolio showcasing website design projects from concept to completion.
Hands-on experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
Understanding of responsive and adaptive web design principles
Excellent visual design sensibilities including layout, typography, colour theory.
Strong communication, collaboration and presentation abilities
Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
