Website Designer / Website Production / Graphic Production

A busy website development company in Vancouver, BC, Canada is hoping to find a designer / production person to work with.

Part-time; Tuesday to Thursday
Exact number of hours per day to be determined. Likely starting with 4 hours per day.
You can start work anytime from 9am to 5pm Vancouver/Los Angeles Time (PST).
We will be very flexible with anyone working outside our time zone.
We use Slack to communicate daily priorities, and like to have daily Slack audio meetings to discuss details.

Work duties include:
Website design for clients in the construction, manufacturing and retail industries
Creating graphics, sizing and retouching photos for websites
Content entry into WordPress websites.
Working on all aspects of website production with our Senior Designer and Developer.
Extra work may include creating blog posts, artwork for business cards, logo design etc.

What you need:
Since this is a remote position, you require a fast/broadband internet connection, your own computer and a webcam to speak with us. It would be useful if you had Adobe PhotoShop (and Illustrator).

Requirements
This is NOT an entry-level position.
We prefer someone with a design education or a strong design portfolio.
You should be experienced with WordPress.
You need to be detail oriented, small things matter.
You must be able to communicate clearly via English writing and speaking.
Most importantly, you need to be willing to learn, share your knowledge and be dependable.

Pay:
We want to make sure that you are very fairly paid, and will work with you in determining a fair starting salary and then increasing it as we continue to work together. We have staff that have been with us for 7+ years.
