Role Overview:
We’re on the hunt for a dynamic and talented Web Developer to bring our new website vision to life. With a preliminary design for our homepage already in place, we seek someone who doesn’t just code but also collaborates and contributes to the overall design and user experience. The successful applicant will work closely with our Senior Marketing Manager to shape the new digital face of an innovative tech startup. Duration of this project is estimated to be 2 months with a possibility of retention for new projects and maintaining of web pages.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager and other stakeholders to develop a dynamic and responsive website.
Interpret and execute design concepts for other website aspects and pages.
Ensure the website is responsive across devices and boasts fast loading times.
Implement best practices in website structure, functionality, and SEO.
Actively recommend and pitch enhancements or improvements to the website’s design and functionality.
Debug and optimize site features for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure the website is compliant with all applicable standards and regulations, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Requirements:
Proven experience in web development with a strong portfolio of responsive design projects.
Expertise in web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and others relevant to the project.
Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and CMS platforms.
A sharp eye for design, layout aesthetics, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
Ability to provide and implement creative solutions and suggest improvements.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
