Wedding Film Editor

We are currently looking for a highly skilled video editor to join our team on a part-time basis, with a clear pathway to full-time employment for the right candidate. This role focuses on creating emotionally charged wedding feature films and comprehensive coverage of the full ceremony and speeches.

Responsibilities:

– Craft emotionally driven feature highlight films that narrate the story of the wedding day, showcasing your storytelling skills and attention to cinematic detail.
– Edit full wedding ceremony and speech videos, integrating multiple camera angles and syncing with external audio tracks to capture the full experience.
– Generate engaging, social media-optimised short videos, 10-15 seconds long, to enhance reach and engagement across platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
– Utilise advanced video editing software, preferably Final Cut Pro, to deliver high-quality content.
– Manage multiple projects efficiently, maintaining high standards while meeting tight deadlines.
– Stay informed about the latest trends in video editing, sound design, and visual effects.
– Employ animation techniques to add visual flair to videos (preferred).

Requirements:

– Demonstrable experience in editing wedding films, supported by a strong portfolio that includes feature highlight films and full ceremony coverage.
– Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or similar video editing software, with Final Cut Pro being highly preferred.
– Experience with short-form social media content is desirable, though training is available.
– Capable of executing sophisticated sound design and integrating various audio sources.
– Photo editing and graphic design skills are advantageous.
– Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
– Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
– A proactive and innovative approach, taking full ownership of projects from inception through to completion.
