Position: Wedding Video Editor

About the Project:
We are looking for a talented and creative video editor to transform a collection of wedding footage and photographs into a beautiful, story-driven video. Unfortunately, we have limited A-cam footage due to corruption, but we have an extensive array of B-roll footage, including venue shots, flower preparations, drone footage of the venue, and the first dance. Additionally, we have all the photographs from the wedding photographer and all logos and type fonts from the wedding invitations to incorporate into the video.
Project Requirements:
Video Length: 3-5 minutes, set to the couple’s first dance song.
Content: Utilize available footage and photos to narratively build up to and tell the story of the wedding day, emphasizing the atmosphere, key moments, and emotions.
Software Preference: DaVinci Resolve is preferred and would like the project file at the end.
Creative Direction: We are looking for someone who can take the available materials and creatively piece them together, compensating for the lack of A-cam footage by focusing on the story and emotional moments. The final product should be a cohesive and touching representation of the couple’s special day.
Experience/Qualifications:
Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio that includes wedding videos or similar projects.
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or equivalent video editing software.
Ability to work creatively with a mix of video footage, photographs, and other digital assets.
Strong storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and emotion.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a set timeline.
