WEDDING VIDEO EDITOR

Pratt Productions, a Wedding cinematography company based in Hawaii, is seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor with expertise in grading S-LOG3, CLOG3, C-LOG2, and other log footage. We are looking for someone who not only knows how to edit, but is skilled as well as creative weaving people’s love stories together in a timeless manner, possesses excellent music taste, and is seeking a consistent and substantial workload each month.

Responsibilities:

Cut, Edit and enhance video footage, ensuring seamless transitions, visual flow, and captivating storytelling.
Color grade log footage (S-LOG3) to bring out rich and vibrant colors while maintaining a natural and cinematic look.
Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives, themes, and desired visual style.
Select and incorporate suitable music tracks, sound effects, and audio enhancements to enhance the overall impact of the videos.
Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all aspects of video editing, including trimming, pacing, and timing.
Manage and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and software tools to continually enhance editing skills.

Requirements:

Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and color grading tools.
Demonstrated experience in grading log footage, specifically S-LOG3, CLOG3, C-LOG2, etc.
A portfolio showcasing a range of video editing work that demonstrates storytelling abilities, creative vision, and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of cinematic techniques, pacing, and visual storytelling.
Excellent music taste and the ability to select appropriate tracks to complement video content.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a team.
Strong communication skills to understand client requirements and incorporate feedback into the editing process.
Prior experience working on various video projects, such as commercials, documentaries, or short films, is a plus.
