Job Summary:
The Financial Controller is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information within an organization. They provide strategic guidance and financial analysis to support decision-making and drive the organization’s financial success. The Financial Controller manages a team and collaborates with various stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external auditors. We need at least
3 years of Financial Controller or Accounting Manager experience.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring financial performance and variances.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, cost control, and profitability.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret financial data and support decision-making processes.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify control weaknesses and implement corrective measures.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and examinations.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Set performance goals, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Cash Flow Management:
Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.
Monitor cash flow, analyze variances, and recommend actions to improve cash position.
Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Financial Planning and Strategy:
Assist in the development and execution of the organization’s financial plans and strategies.
Participate in strategic initiatives, evaluating financial feasibility and providing financial insights.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is highly desirable.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in a complex organization.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficiency in financial management systems and software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
