WooCommerce Shop Manager / Email Marketer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Shop Manager to manage our WooCommerce e-commerce store for a well-known fly fishing brand in the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product listings, updating product descriptions for SEO optimization, and writing SEO optimized descriptions for product categories. Additionally, the Shop Manager will schedule seasonal sales and promotions and send SMS text message campaigns.

Responsibilities:
– Manage and update product listings, including product descriptions, prices, and images.
– Write SEO-optimized descriptions for product categories.
– Schedule seasonal discounts and promotions to help sell more products.
– Create, edit, schedule, and publish email marketing campaigns on Click to view using content created on Click to view.
– Preferred: Code HTML and Java to update Child Themes and make custom updates to our WordPress theme.
– Edit and publish fishing articles while being fluent in English.
– Research fly fishing topics to become knowledgeable on the subject of fly fishing.
– Include Amazon Affiliate links where appropriate.
– Add Ebay & Etsy listings of new products.
– Accurately manage inventory levels across all sales channels to avoid low stock issues.

Desired Skills:
– Experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a WooCommerce environment.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on SEO optimization.
– Strong knowledge of HTML, Java, and WordPress.
– Familiarity with Canva and Click to view (similar to Klaviyo).
– Passion for the outdoors, fishing, and or an eagerness to learn more about the subject.
– Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
– On-page SEO optimization. (Our website sales are driven mostly through organic traffic from SEO-optimized articles.)
