We are looking for a motivated and positive WordPress Assistant to join our team and help us produce the highest quality content in the world for a few websites.
You will be an integral part of our successful business and have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. While highly valuing results, we also highly value time off. The result is we tend to have clear objectives for each week which need to be completed so we can all feel like we have done our best.
We has SOPs and checklists in place to help guide you. We will also be producing videos based on needs.
Responsibilities:
Punctually complete content on WordPress from writers
– Edit high-quality content in English (with help from Grammarly plugin)
– Basic working knowledge of SEO
– Fact checking through online search
– Using Canva to create images from templates
Assist in all aspects of an online business that relies on search, including making minor updates to posts, tracking and posting to social media, and using basic spreadsheeting in Google Docs
If you don’t have great skills in all these things, that’s OK. However you will need to be keen to learn them all and be results oriented.
Experience:
– Proven ability to deliver tasks on time (if a task can’t be delivered on time for what ever reason – good communication is all that is required)
– Experience publishing on WordPress (ideally using a block based editor)
– Excellent communication skills (happy to ask question when you don’t understand something)
– Basic working knowledge of SEO
– Fact checking abilities (using search to check multiple sources and determine which is right)
– Ability to learn quickly and help develop best practices for the company
– Familiarity with software such as Canva, Trello and SEMRush is a plus (but similar software is also going to be helpful)
As a WordPress Assistant with us, you will be empowered to grow with us, which in the not too distant future could include managing a small team. You will be a very important part of a growing business. The sky is the limit. We will provide the support and time to learn on the job, and as long as you are committed to helping helping our audiences, we will help you grow too.
This is a WordPress Assistant position with a starting rate of $3-$10 per hour, with the opportunity to scale up to 10 hours per week quickly, with the goal of providing a lot more up to full time (depending on your desires as well). We will begin with a paid trial period which will test the responsibilities and experience you have.
