WordPress Designer and Webmaster

Looking for a long-term team member who is an expert in WordPress design using the Avada Theme and has extensive technical/webmaster expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Daily Responsibilities:
–Provide updates on tasks in project management software
–Work with our content team to gather necessary assets

-Website Setup
–Setup hosting on Nexcess and manage DNS and domain records.
–Install and configure WordPress with the Avada theme.
–Setup SMTP relay account on SendLayer.

-Design and Development
–Design websites using the Avada theme, adhering to best practices for responsive design, UX/UI, accessibility, and SEO.
–Develop landing pages based on existing website design and implement provided copy and meta data.
–Optimize images by using descriptive, keyword-rich file names, adding alt text that accurately describes the image content with relevant keywords, and including image title attributes to provide additional context.
–Compress images to reduce file size without compromising quality, ensuring faster load times.
–Properly use meta data for SEO including the headers, page titles, meta descriptions, URL structure, and schema markup.

-Maintenance and Support:
–Perform general web maintenance, including themes and plugin updates.
–Setup and support essential plugins such as Termageddon privacy and cookie policy, RankMath SEO Pro, Object Cache Pro, WPForms, WP Mail SMTP Pro, W3 Total Cache
–Configure Google reCAPTCHA and contact forms.
–Customize and support WooCommerce website with HUSKY and WP All Import plugins.
–Suggest and implement improvements for site performance and user experience.

-Analytics:
–Implement basic configurations for Google Analytics (GA), Google Search Console (GSC), and Google Tag Manager (GTM).

-Required technical skills and 3+ years experience
–WordPress CMS and plug-ins
–HTML and CSS
–Strong design sensibilities, Figma designs (preferably)
–Understanding of SEO concepts and best practices

-Basic skills:
-In addition to having excellent English skills, you’ll need to use the applications we listed below. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but you need to be at least familiar with most of them.
–Web research using search engines
–Gmail and other email applications
–Slack Communication app
–Asana Project management software
–Timeproof time tracking software
–Password management software

-Desired technical skills and experience (nice to have, but not required):
–Utilize GTM/GA Debugger for testing and troubleshooting, when necessary, to ensure accurate data collection
–Identify and resolve crawl and indexing errors using Google Search Console and Screaming frog
–SEO Strategy (Keyword Research, Competitor Analysis, create content calendar, and creative briefs)
–Track and report on organic rankings, traffic, and conversion rates to key pages by measuring keyword positions, search volume, and overall site visibility using Google Looker Studio (Data from Analytics, Ads, and SE Rankings)
–Recommends changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
–Keeps abreast with algorithm changes to quickly understand implications for the business and identifies necessary changes to maintain growth.

-Work schedule and holidays:
This is a part-time position Mondays to Fridays, 4 hours per day, with the potential of more. The hours are flexible.
You’ll qualify for 3 vacation leaves and 3 sick leaves after the 6 month probation period. We honor most Filipino holidays except for All Saints and All Souls Day.
