ABOUT THE JOB:
Heather is looking for a full-stack WordPress developer/designer with 3+ years of full-time web development experience who can make updates and add pages to the website: . She would like to elevate, customize & modernize the design in some ways and even more importantly, add more pages to the site to reflect new offerings. Additionally, the site is built on WPBakery and Heather is questioning moving to a different builder, so would like to explore what it would look like to change the builder for the whole site.
When it comes to her web design, Heather is looking for something more custom than the typical theme/template. It’s ok if you start with a template and add some custom elements, but she is looking for uniqueness & artistry in terms of design.
With the new podcast, new products and courses and my efforts with SEO, something always needs changing about the site, so this position is a retainer position for 10 hours per week. Even if Heather does not use all 10 hours, she wants to make sure you are available 10 hours per week and not doing other client work during that time. And you will be paid for the 10 hours regardless of whether Heather utilizes them.
In addition to web developer tasks, this position requires excellent project management skills and communication skills.

Heather will not review more than 6 examples, so choose the best 4-6 options in terms of design to best show off your skills.
Applications will be evaluated based on following the above instructions, English language skills (conversational or better), job points, level of organization, design skill and communication throughout the interview process.
If you make it to the second round, you will be given a test task related to this job that will take no more than 2-3 hours. Your work will not be used–it is just to assess skill.
The top performers on the test task will be invited to an interview with Heather after which she will make her final decision.
