WordPress Designer & Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Designer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include customising themes (GeneratePress), implementing plugins, optimising performance, and ensuring seamless user experiences. This position requires proficiency in WordPress development, a strong understanding of web design principles, and the ability to collaborate with the design and marketing teams.

**Requirements** 

– Proven experience as a WordPress Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful WordPress projects.
– Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme customisation, plugin development, and core functionalities.
– Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
– Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimise WordPress websites for search engines.
– Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web development technologies.
– Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.
– Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
– Ability to work independently and efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Responsibilities**

– Work with the Project Manager and Designer to understand website requirements and project goals.
– Customise GeneratePress themes and templates to create visually appealing and unique websites.
– Develop and implement custom functionalities and plugins to enhance website performance and user experience.
– Optimise websites for speed, performance, and search engine visibility using SEO best practices.
– Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness on desktop and mobile devices.
– Troubleshoot and resolve any WordPress-related issues to maintain optimal website functionality.
– Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices to continuously improve the quality of websites.
– Collaborate with content creators to integrate engaging multimedia elements into WordPress websites.
– Provide technical support and ongoing maintenance for existing WordPress websites.
– Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards to enhance inclusivity and user experience.
– Meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of completed WordPress projects.
