Job Description

StoryLabs Media is seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about web development and has a deep understanding of WordPress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality websites for our clients while working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
Collaborate with the design team to transform designs into fully functional websites
Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs
Ensure website security and perform regular updates and backups
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines
Keep up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices
Requirements:

3+ years of experience in WordPress development
Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi, WPBakery)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
Knowledge of web performance optimization and SEO best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Nice to Have:

Experience with WooCommerce, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and/or other popular WordPress plugins
Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Laravel)
Experience with website analytics and tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
