WordPress Developer

Our Digital Marketing Company is looking for a Web Developer, who will be responsible for front to back-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This person should understand industry trends, content management systems, and the entire web development process.

What you will be Doing:
* Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
* Design and implement new features, and functionality, and also manage websites using WordPress.
* Code WordPress plug-ins and themes from scratch,
* Establish and guide the website’s architecture.
* Optimize website load-time and interactive performance and availability.
* Manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
* Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.
* Troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers.

What are the Requirements:
* Qualified candidates must be available 20 hours/week exclusively in EST. Spoken & written English skills and familiarity with technology are a must.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
* Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
* Combination of programming skills — PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
* Be able to build themes and plug-ins from scratch.
* Experience with Google Analytics.
* Experience with Domain Configuration.
* Gutenberg experience is a plus.
* Architecture and aesthetics — understand element arrangements, color, and font choices.
* Experience with responsive and adaptive design (strongly preferred)
* Strong understanding of server-side PHP development.
* Basic understanding of debugging tools in common browsers.
* Maintain CSS consistency in designs.
* Ability to convert visual designs, mockups, and wireframes into working HTML and CSS.
* Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
