Role Summary:
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for updating, refining, and enhancing the blog and resource sections of our website. This role requires a deep understanding of WordPress development and a passion for creating user-friendly, informative, and visually appealing web content. You will work closely with our content and design teams to implement new features and ensure our site remains a leading source of information and support for our community.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and maintain the blog and resource sections of our website (as well as broader site) using WordPress.
– Implement new features and functionalities to enhance user experience and engagement.
– Work with the content team to ensure smooth content integration and optimal SEO performance.
– Collaborate with the design team to maintain brand consistency and ensure the website’s visual appeal.
– Perform regular site maintenance, including updates, backups, and security checks.
– Troubleshoot and resolve any WordPress-related issues.
– Optimize website performance for speed and scalability.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress development trends and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
– Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, custom theme development, and plugin customization.
– Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
– Experience with PHP and MySQL.
– (IDEAL) Proficient in front-end development (particularly Gatsby) in use with WordPress as a headless CMS
– Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing WordPress sites for search engines.
– Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and the ability to interpret and act on performance data.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication and collaboration abilities, comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
– A passion for creating user-friendly, engaging web content.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
