WordPress Developer

JOB BRIEF & DESCRIPTION

We are a digital marketing agency based in London, UK and we specialize in providing web design and development services. We are looking for a WordPress developer to build websites and landing pages using Elementor in WordPress. This role will mainly be a development role but require both graphic design and technical WordPress skills.

As a WordPress Developer, you will collaborate with the project manager and team to ensure that the clients’ websites and systems are built reliably and error-free.

We’re specifically looking for someone with the following:

– Self-driven, highly motivated, and result-oriented
– Great problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
– Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and clients

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design
o Create logo and brand guidelines
o Create website mock-ups using Figma / Adobe XD
o Create website graphics and other assets as required

– Development
o Build new WordPress websites from scratch based on Figma / Adobe XD outputs
o Build new WordPress websites using Envato Theme templates
o Editing Envato Theme templates to make them properly mobile ready
(most have visual issues when we move to tablet / mobile view)
o Working with designers and content builders to bring vision to live
o Type ‘reeses’ at the start of your application to prove you’ve read this brief properly
o Develop new landing pages on WordPress websites

– Maintenance
o Operate on multiple website projects at the same time
o Optimize and maintain both the stability and security of our website portfolio
o Managing contact forms, SMTP and email deliverability of our website portfolio
o Handling propagation and server changes
o Monitor and test existing website systems

– Daily reports of progress and output

REQUIREMENTS

– Advanced in WordPress ecosystem, including security, speed, on-page SEO, and mobile responsive optimization.
– Advanced in Elementor and supporting plugins
– Proficient in HTML and CSS
– Proficient in server maintenance and performance optimization (ie. Implementing CDN)
– Proficient in web hosting (cPanel) and DNS (we use CloudWays)
– Some experience working with Figma and/or Adobe XD
– Some experience working with Google Analytics and Tag Manager
– Proficient verbal and written communication in English
– Internet connection speed above 20 Mbps
– Computer with 8GB of RAM or more
