We are looking for someone to join our Design, Development and Content team, who wants a stable income (we have been in business and in the Philippines for 10 years), and wants to grow with us, with both front-end and back web development skills.

Position Overview:

As an Advanced WordPress Developer, with expert Divi Theme experience, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining our websites, incorporating cutting-edge design and functionality to enhance the user experience. You will work closely with our cross-functional team, including designers and content creators, to deliver exceptional web solutions.
Speed – you understand responsiveness is of the utmost importance to your customers, and think under 5-minute response times are reasonable expectations by customers.

Attention to detail – you get things done right the first time.

Accountability – you take responsibility for your actions and constantly improve and brand as a great role model for other team members.

Confidence with English – spoken and written emails (short form).

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development: Develop WordPress websites using Divi themes, ensuring they are responsive, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Theme and Plugin Customization: Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements, including creating custom themes and plugins when necessary.
Content Management: Manage and update website content, including text, images, videos, and other media, to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for website performance, including page load times, SEO, and security enhancements.
Troubleshooting: Promptly identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems to ensure uninterrupted website functionality.
Cross-browser and Cross-device Compatibility: Ensure websites are compatible with various browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to seamlessly integrate design elements, user experience improvements, and marketing initiatives.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to identify and rectify issues before websites go live.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of website development and customization processes.

You will work with a small team, using our company task management system (Breeze), logging your hours for tasks assigned to you and working closely with our Operations Manager, who will assign tasks and provide support and guidance to help you succeed with tasks.

In addition to assigned tasks, there will be auto-generated recurring monthly tasks for maintenance. These recurring tasks include a checklist of maintenance subtasks such as running performance reports, updating plugins, syncing live sites with development sites, and QA testing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (preferred).
Expert WordPress Development and Maintenance
Expert in Divi theme
Competent in converting/developing a Figma design into a WordPress site using Divi theme.
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WHM/cPanel
Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
Experience with responsive web design and mobile optimization.
Familiarity with SEO best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Knowledge of website security best practices.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
Operating Environment
Technology – must have computer / laptop (min i5 Processor) and Microsoft Office in good working condition + no brownout for more than once 2 months + and or options to manage when this occurs (our clients still expect support and service) + internet capable of running smooth video calls
Conferencing – feel comfortable in having regular video calls
