WordPress Developer and Designer

Position Overview:

This is an opportunity for a part-time WordPress developer and designer position which will consist of gigs and part-time work with the intention to transition into full-time as we onboard more clients and integrate your skillset. The ideal candidate is someone who has notable experience with WordPress both as a CMS and shopping cart.

The majority scope of these projects will be in eCommerce

Relevant Skills and Comforts:

– WordPress as CMS and shopping cart
– PHP and MySQL within WordPress (editing theme files, plugins, and adding custom functionality through hooks/actions/filters, etc.)
– Themes, Child Themes, Page Builders and popular plugins which enable advanced functionality (custom fields, forms,
– HTML, CSS (Bonus: JavaScript)
– Site cloning and migration
– Staging and production sites
– Database management (backup and troubleshooting)
– Page speed and site performance
– Eye for design and layout
– WordPress security
– Basic SEO
– Mobile and responsive design
– WooCommerce integration
– General site maintenance (backups, updates, etc.)
– Bonus: Experience with custom plugin development

– To create functional and successful websites based on the spec for each project.
– To clone existing websites and adapt them to the spec of a new project
– To constantly learn, to teach, and to grow our skillsets.
– To create an efficient workflow between our projects and you
– To create value in your portfolio

Additional Expectations:

– Fluent English: Applicant must be well expressed and articulated in the English language.
– Timely responses to any communications or project requests. This is typically within a 24-hour period.
– Ability to work independently with trust and minimal supervision.
– Organization: It is expected that the applicant can organize themselves, and their tasks in a way that’s practical for them to remain efficient.
