WordPress Developer for car acquisition company

Company Description:

We are a global startup in the automotive industry, specializing in car acquisition. We collaborate with car dealers worldwide through our online portal, offering a range of cars and facilitating seamless transactions. As we continue to expand and innovate, we’re seeking a proficient WordPress Developer to join our dynamic, remote team.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and customize WordPress plugins to enhance our online portal’s functionality.
– Modify our WordPress site to align with the company’s needs and branding.
– Implement UI designs using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
– Manage all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS.
– Collaborate with our team to understand requirements and deliver results efficiently.
– Ensure the website’s scalability to accommodate our growing user base.

Required Skills:
– Strong proficiency in WordPress plugin development and customization.
– Solid understanding of PHP development.
– Experience with WordPress customization.
– Proficiency in front-end technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, and HTML5.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
– Good written and spoken English communication skills.
– Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:
– Experience with MemberPress or other WordPress membership plugins.
– Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
– Experience with SEO best practices.
– Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL.

Additional Qualifications:
– A fast learner who pays close attention to detail.
– Able to follow instructions meticulously.
– Minimum 2-3 years of experience in WordPress development.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Work Schedule:
This is a remote, part-time position requiring approximately 4 hours per day. From Monday to Friday, the hours are flexible, but we would need you online for at least an hour daily for our meetings. After a 6-month probation period, you’ll be eligible for 3 vacation days and 3 sick days. We recognize most Filipino holidays, except for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day.

We aim to transition this to a full-time position as soon as possible for both parties. Time management/time tracking software will be used for logging hours.
