Company Introduction
We are a growing digital marketing company based in Sydney Australia that services a large number of clients and industries. We build a combination of Marketing, eCommerce, Membership and interactive functional websites for our clients, based on the WordPress platform. We are seeking to expand our small team with a dedicated developer role for our WordPress projects.

Job Description
We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating/editing WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on).

Joining a small team, this role will have exposure across all areas of the development process. Hence, an understanding and a willingness to get involved in the entire web development process, including design, development, content and deployment is preferred.

Responsibilities
• Front and Back end WordPress development. There will be a mix of functional development (coding and customisations) and implementation tasks (page building and content) in this role.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture & user experience
• Updating & Troubleshooting existing site issues
• Managing staging and live site deployments
• Assisting with scoping and solution design to deliver effective and valuable solutions to clients
• Autonomously managing your time to meet your deliverables on project work

About You
• 5+ years of web development experience and capable of developing high quality websites entirely on your own
• Extensive WordPress knowledge and experience is mandatory. This is both at a coding/template level and page/product content implementation level.
• Advanced skills in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Responsive Design
• Experience with Elementor &/or Breakdance page builder. WP Bakery knowledge also favourable for older sites.
• Strong and incomparable attention to detail
• A conceptual thinker – able to clearly articulate creative ideas & solutions
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English.

Desirable Skills (bonus … non mandatory)
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Woocommerce knowledge beneficial.
• MySQL database queries and data updates
• CPanel/WHM/NGINX/CDN Hosting management
• An understanding of good on-page SEO practices. Any extra SEO specific skills you can demonstrate is a bonus!
• Previous experience using project management and communication tools (Jira, Trello, Slack, Zoom etc).
